This graph shows the number of international students that were studying in the United States as of 2020. The graph is listed from the largest to smallest by the country of origin. In the 2019/2020 academic year, there were 372,532 international students from China that are studying in the United States. Throough this graph I was able to see that the majority of international students are from Asia. As China, India, and South Korea takes the top 3 spots while Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan all ranked within the top 10, ranking 7th 8th and 9th respectively. As Chinese international students account for about a third of the international student population it has grately affected college admissions as this opens up a new market for recruiting students. What kind of strategies are used for recruiting international students and are there any differences to recruiting overseas vs domestic students?  Also as the pandemic has forced Universities and Colleges to resort to online classes affecting the number student enrollment. International students are looking to improve their English and to see and experience the different cultures, worldview, that American university and college campuses offer. American's have sterotyped these international students not knowing the amount of sacrifice these families have gone through. Chinese international students have the tendency to stick together creating an even bigger gap and discrimination between the groups of students. There have also been establishments of clubs and student organizations that help these international students to better integrate into our society and transition from being dependent on parents to being independent individuals.
